If you are breastfeeding, a nursing cover can provide extra shade for your baby. Either way, be sure to have a few burp cloths handy for any spit-up.

For older babies, puffs, teething crackers, and other light snacks can help avoid a hunger meltdown. Be sure to have baby bibs, especially helpful at restaurants, to keep your baby clean. 

 Toys

Babies get bored. And when babies are bored, they cry. Having toys in your diaper bag can keep a baby easily entertained. If your baby is teething, keep teethers in reach. A few board books can keep older babies entertained. 

 First-Aid Kit

A scratched knee at the playground is not uncommon. A small first-aid kit with bandages, antiseptic spray, tweezers, and alcohol wipes for cleaning should serve most situations.
